Double Bass - Spirocore strings

"Spirocores were the strings I started playing on, and the strings I always return to. I need a string that can cut through in a packed underground punk club or deliver the subtlest of notes in a classical music hall. Emotion and drama at my fingertips, strings that can be brutal and violent one minute, sensitive and quiet the next, Spirocores have the strength, depth and tone that I rely on day after day."  - Adrian Stout (The Tiger Lillies)

"Be it on the Stradivari, Guadagnini, del Gesù or Gagliano - for years I've been exclusively using TI strings, which have always served me well on all these instruments. These strings offer the perfect combination of sound volume, beauty and warmth and are the ideal accessory for me - be it for orchestral performances, recitals or when teaching. An all-round top-quality set of strings!”

String Quartet

"My Andrea Amati has happily worn gut strings for over 400 years - but as those string players who tour know, climates vary from place to place, making such strings a liability. In Thomastik-Infeld’s VISION strings I have found a satisfying balance of the warmth, character, and tonal variety native to gut, and the power, projection, and stability of synthetic core. In quartets one learns that adaptation and compromise remain virtues when all share high standards - of which these strings are a fine example."  (Daniel Avshalomov, Violist, American String Quartet)

"Apocalyptica has put their trust in Thomastik-Infeld strings already for over a decade of time, having been using these particular strings for an estimated 1000 shows in all continents. We have tried and tested all the different strings on the market, and found out, that Thomastik-Infeld is the only one, that can stand the intense pressure and demanding techniques, and the variable concert conditions we are facing daily, as a band. The lower strings especially are solid, strong and durable, yet still smoothly playable and flexible.

String Quartet

"Music is a language understood by all people, providing a common ground. A quartet is a powerful exchange of four people talking, debating, singing and celebrating – and everyone is listening. When we play, our instruments become one with our bodies and strings turn into our vocal cords. For many years we have been playing on different strings by Thomastik-Infeld, they give our musical ideas a perfect voice. These strings enable us to talk to each other on stage and express things that are actually beyond expression.

"Spirocore strings have been an essential component of my career as a soloist and chamber musician since my youth. I cannot imagine doing justice to a Shostakovich concerto, a Bartok quartet, or a Bach suite without them. They give me everything I need as a cellist: beauty of tone, responsiveness, consistency and the strength to cut through orchestras and ensembles, and in duo repertoire, to stand up against the power of today's 9-foot concert grand pianos.

Their clarity in the audience and unique frequency matches my antique 1754 Milanese bass like no other string. On my orchestral playing - after trying the whole string market - only Thomastik-Infeld Belcanto has proven to be the most powerful string. Cello - Versum & Spirocore strings

“My cellos and I have seen the world together. We’ve been atop the Great Wall, in the mists of Iguazu Falls, astride a speeding train, and even upon the parapets of an iconic castle. The strings I play have to be tough, but ever so sensitive, and immune to jet-lag. :-) I play Thomastik-Infeld strings because they are the finest strings I’ve found no matter where I’ve flown. They are tenacious, responsive and forgiving. They are my soulmate strings. Thank you, Thomastik-Infeld!”

Viola - Vision Solo & Peter Infeld strings

"As an old fan of Thomastik-Infeld's Vision Solo strings I am happy about the additional possibility of using Peter Infeld strings as well - depending on the repertoire and the instrument I am playing on. While Vision Solo strings combine strength, brightness and beauty in a unique way, Peter Infeld strings add the touch of wound gut strings.

String Quartet

"The Turtle Island Quartet, now entering its fortieth decade, takes great pride in its deserved reputation as being the first string quartet to achieve artistic and commercial success based on all four members equally versed in jazz improvisation and classical technique. Thomastik-Infeld rightly lays claim to a commensurate position in the realm of string making through their seminal development of the ‘reference standard’ Dominant strings in the 1950’s, and their brilliant synthesis of tradition and innovation has set the benchmark for others to follow ever since.

Guitar - Power Bights strings

“Since many, many years in my Rock career I´ve played strings from Thomastik-Infeld, because they are the best ones to go wild and never let me down in studio or while world touring. A very brilliant sound with perfect balance between all strings. Feels pefectly while banding and also works great for tremolo guitars. Thanks Thomastik-Infeld for creating such fantastic strings!”
